Baby Getting Ready
The day starts early with capturing the baby getting ready. I typically arrive at your home well in advance to document these precious moments, similar to the “getting ready” part in your wedding, if you remember. We always ask parents to have the “details” ready, including the baptismal outfit, pre-ceremony outfit, candle, crown, shoes, towel, and a copy of the guest invitations. If time allows, I like to get some family photos done before the ceremony, but during this time, my primary focus is on capturing candid moments as they unfold.
The Ceremony
The ceremony can take place either before or after the Holy Mass, depending on what the priest has informed us earlier. Regardless of the timing, I will capture every part of the baptismal ceremony in the best possible frames. This includes all the significant moments, from the blessings to the holy water ritual. I always adhere to any guidelines given by the priest to ensure a respectful and smooth process, making sure the sanctity of the ceremony is preserved while capturing its beauty. Immediately after the Ceremony concludes I ask the Priest to jump in for a family photo. After that, we will proceed to the remaining family portrait combinations.
The reception
Now it’s time to have fun! During the reception, I’ll capture the decor details, cake, cocktail reception, and plenty of candids! This includes snapping precious family photos with the baby and parents amidst the joyous atmosphere. By this point, all the family photos and important rituals are covered, so parents get to sit back and enjoy. It’s a time to savor the moment and create lasting memories of this special day.
